Kansas City food is all just BBQ, right?
Fox 4 anchor and reporter Matt Stewart says not so fast, and he has the receipts!
In his new book, Unique Eats and Eateries of Kansas City (Reedy Press), you'll not only learn why nearly 90 KC-area eateries decided to open their restaurants in the City of Fountains, but also the stories behind their food. In today's discussion, Matt shares the backstory to this fun book, as well as his works of fiction touching on the sci-fi and mystery genres. Matt is also author of The Walk-On: Inside Northwestern's Rise From Cellar Dweller To Big Ten Champ, chronicling his time as a walk-on on the legendary out-of-nowhere Northwestern Wildcats that went from years in the basement to two Big Ten championships.
Finally, Matt shares the story of his wife Chrissy's valiant fight against a rare and aggressive cancer.
